Suez Energy enters Delaware power market
March 26, 2008

Suez Energy moved into the Delaware power market as it had told us it might back in September (RT, Sept-20).

The move expanded the Suez footprint in PJM, said the firm yesterday.

The plan is to widen existing sales efforts in Mid-Atlantic markets of Pennsylvania; New Jersey; Maryland, and Washington, DC.

Suez will provide a full suite of power services including demand response services under PJM's DR program and Green-E certified Renewable Energy Credits.

These services provide choice to our customers who are committed to sustainable, environmentally friendly solutions that support our economy's growing need for new sources of energy supply, said Suez.

"Green-E renewable energy products will be an important thrust of our customer outreach in Delaware because statewide renewable energy initiatives are well underway there," said David Braun, PJM's regional vice president.

"We also will provide fixed price, index and other customizable energy solutions tailored to the risk management needs of our Delaware customers."
